Just a quick foreword. This post is going to be all about me talking about how awesome I think that my daughter is. Cause here's the thing. No matter who you are or what stage in your life that you're at, everybody has something that they believe is just amazing. At this point, that something for me is Abbey.
Girlfriend knows how to wreck a perfectly clean and organized bedroom in twenty minutes flat. But in the middle of all that chaos are these little treasures.
Now I know that this may not seem all that amazing, but she did this all by herself. She knows how to spell her name and how old she is. The best part is that she knows how to articulate it.
Of course, this may not seem that special either, but look close. She made a pattern. Now how cool is that? She is doing these things without being prompted to do so.
And, she loves school so much. Every morning she asks me where she is going and gets so excited when it's a school day. I wish that I could bottle up a little extra of that excitement for use when she is gets to middle school!
Her idea of a good time is sitting at the kitchen table for hours doing worksheets from her preschool workbooks. Literally folks...hours. I'm not exaggerating. We've been through one workbook already this fall. I find myself putting together a mental agenda of activities to do with her on the weekends and I'm always blown away by how smart she has become and how sensitive and mature she is.
She is so amazing to me and she inspires me to give my best because that is exactly what she gives to me.
