You just gotta love the weather in Virginia. Within the same week we had a low of 14 degrees and a high of 62 degrees. One year we'll have multiple snowstorms throughout the winter season and another year nothing but sleet and rain. I don't complain about either really, unless it is freezing cold and windy for more than 2 weeks, then I might get a little cranky.
It was a nice, quiet weekend and that makes me happy. But, I'm still having trouble getting back into routine from the holidays. Well, I guess it might be an issue if I was actually trying to get back into routine! There have been a few hurdles and a couple of set-backs. It'll take some time and until then I just want to chill. So a nice quiet weekend was welcoming.
She is head over heels in love with the new cat. Love doesn't quite describe it though. Obsessed and infatuated better describe it. I actually feel a little sorry for him since I'm certain he would appreciate a little peace and quiet sometimes. But then again, I hope she keeps him up all day so he at least sleeps during the night rather than pouncing with my feet at 2 am. Now that I think about him a little more, I don't feel sorry for him at all. You should have seen what he did to my closet while I was at work yesterday! Nothing is safe in his presence.
But I think that I know exactly how Abbey feels because I'm madly in love with her. Obsessed. Infatuated. I could just kiss on her plump little cheeks all day long. She's gotta be the sweetest thing. And I just love talking to her. She's like an old friend, it's hard to explain. I'm certain she gets tired of me loving all over her too.
