This Old House

Given the opportunity, I'd rather live in an updated older home rather than new house.  Older homes tend to be on more acreage with mature vegetation and landscaping rather than the subdivisions with cookie cutter layouts on less a quarter acre.  Older homes have life; a history all to its own.  Well, if these walls could talk...

Homer's place.  A weekend getaway to celebrate birthdays and sometimes nothing at all.  Just a place to relax and let the world around us go.  Under those power blue asbestos shingles is a tiny three bedroom log house built in the late 1800's.  My great grandmother and a few of her siblings were born in that house.  After the last owner, Homer, perished in a field fire a few years ago, my grandparent's purchased the house, barn and surrounding thirteen acres.  No one lives in that old house now.  It's only purpose is to serve as gathering spot and a place to make memories.
Check out the skill and precision.  I want Abbey as my teammate!
I feel the same about pineapple Adalyn; sweet and tart!
