Quicky Craft

Remember that Mary Poppins travel bag mentioned earlier this week?   That go-to bag of goodies to occupy litte minds on long car rides.  Well, I'm working on that bag for the drive to the beach and scored an awesome idea for Abbey. Super simple and super quick.  And hopefully super occupying!

I found these colorful wood cut-outs at Michaels for a dollar a pack; four cut-outs in each pack. I found the magnetic buttons in the crafts section at trusty WalMart.
Hot glue the magnetic buttons to the back each cut-out and voila!
I plan to use this magnetic board for a bunch of different activities while on vacation.  And when we return, I'm confident they will make it to the fridge.

**Update:  I originally wrote this post on Friday evening with intentions of posting Saturday morning.  That was before the super derecho and two days without power.  I wanted the magnets to be a surprise for the beach trip, but in a moment of desperation I got them out to keep Abbey content in midst of sweltering heat and no electricity!***
