Life has been very quiet and very low key around the house lately. That may have a lot to do with the fact that Jacob was on vacation with his mommy last week. The child doesn't know a stranger and never stops talking. I often hear him in his bedroom talking to himself. Seriously.
But we've honestly been soaking in the goodness of early summer.
Colorful wildflowers and tiki torches.
An empty nest.
Blue skies and puffy clouds with a promise of afternoon showers. Bringing the outdoors inside and throwing together a quick arrangement of gorgeous blooms and fragrant herbs.
All of these "favorite things" are symbolic of where we are right now.
Well, I've been actually a bit more busy at the washing machine these days since short stuff feels the need to change outfits at least three times a day and that includes the shoes and accessories. She insists on putting her own outfits together. Interesting outfits I might add. Just a little heads up so if you see us out you'll know that I haven't gone colorblind or crazy.
